Tuesday we were in Dinan for an RNA lunch
at the Duchesse Anne.

Only 18 turned up because there is a case
of the lurgy going round Brittany at the moment.

VALENTINE DINNER

Valentine's evening was spent at Le Passarelle
in Plancoet,
The place was flooded last year, but has now been re-furbished with new owners and a decent well priced menu.

We both had entrecote steak which was really
very good, along with a starter, it was a bargain 40 euros for two.

Music was supplied by the Black Country Jammers, with R&B
being the main theme.
Good night all round.

NEW CHICKEN - NEW EGG

Our new Silkie, Rose, has laid her first egg.
Wasn't expecting it so soon, but well chuffed.
We now intend to let her carry on till she gets broody, then maybe we will get a chick or two.

Just to compare a silkie egg, to one from "Dolly" our
gray chicken.

FIRST SNOW

The first snow for 2 years arrived this week.
Little of it tho.
Easier for the dogs to spot deer, as Arthur is on the trail of a couple above.

First time we have seen Shep in the snow, and predictably
he just ate as much as he could.

Serious wind as well has bought in the chill factor.

The husky comes out in Arthur with this weather.
Always on the hunt.

The snow doesn't affect Bella who will play sticks no matter what.

And a first snow for the chickens.
To keep them laying they get warm porridge in the mornings, and spaghetti in the afternoon.

GREAT DANES GONE

Good news.
The dogs living in appalling conditions in the next
hamlet, have gone.
We need to find out where, but hopefully the rescue teams have turned up and trying to find new homes for them.

We will still keep an eye on the situation.
