NEW VISITORS

Really chuffed to have new visitors this weekend.
My old shipmate from HMS Invincible (circa 91-92)
Den Jarrett, who came over with his partner Gill Maughan.
Had a nice lunch down at St Cast, then Sunday we turned up at the fishing competition at the lake in St Potan for a walk round and a beer at the bar.
They have now gone on a bit of a road trip in Brittany, which I
am sure will be fantastic.
Thanks guys.

NAVY ASSOCIATION LUNCH

CHEAP WINE

Went to Lidl today as there is a wine promotion on. 3 litres of rose, just 4 euros 80 cents (About £3-90). What's it like?
I had to write this poem.
I saw this wine in Lidl,
As cheap as cheap can be.
I've only had 2 glasses,
And now I cannot see.
But a bargain is a bargain,
We all like to buy cheap booze.
But careful how you pour it,
Don't spill it on your shoes.
The leather has all melted,
Burnt right through to my sock.
Glad there's none on my trousers,
I might have burnt my c**k.
But now I've learnt my lesson,
In future i'll no more,
Drink Lidl's battery acid,
And puke up on the floor.

BUN FIGHT

The new bread making machine is getting some use.
Yesterday Marie made the dough up for Belgian buns. and
after letting them rise for a 2nd time in a home made proving
oven under the stairs, 12 minutes in the oven...
Job done.
They were excellent.

BOOMTOWN OF RATS

It's said you are never 5 feet from a rat.
Well, there is nothing like coming back to find
a family of the buggers living close by, and stealing
all the bird food.
Have taken to the sonic pulse remedy, and so far so good.
