HEALTH AND SAFETY
Be very careful whilst operating heavy machinery.
Do not be like the fool in the top picture.
Make sure you wear a hard hat like the fool in the bottom picture.
BUILDING WORK STARTS

Monday saw the drainage workers arrive. They have had to cut down the laylandii trees right back to access the ditch for the water to go to. Also the back walkway will be covered in stones to make a nicer looking area, along with the new retaining wall, which I am told by the "governor" will look like the hanging gardens of Babylon by next summer.
TERRY NUTKIN

Al is up early to do the dogs on Monday morning and on letting them out, Bella goes straight to a flapping fledgling sparrow on the front lawn. After rescuing the bird from the jaws of death, we have taken care of it with food and warmth. Unfortunatly Marie left the bird in the garden in the hope that it's parents would show up to feed it, only for Kip to give it a mauling too. It's not in good shape, but still alive after 2 days.

LEARN FRENCH WITH AL & MARIE
More essential French.
It's summer and more and more locals are wearing tight fitting shorts. This could come in very handy!
