BIRD UPDATE.

3 weeks since we found this little one.

10 feeds a day of meal worms, and cat food.

Now he is close to flying.

We have had him in the back garden waiting for

that first flight.

He's nearly made it.

PET RESCUE

So there we were in the garden having a late night

glass or two, then Bella goes mental pawing at

the ground.

Went over, and this little starling had fallen out of his nest

in the ivy on the main garage.

I thought he was a goner.

Picked him up and he opened his beak for some grub.

Luckily we have mealworms for the chickens,

and he loves them.

24 hours later, he is singing away,

trying to jump out of his

makeshift nest.

Hoping we can see him through to

flying off.

BUGATTI TRIP

July 1st.

Feels like November.

Good day for a trip out in the Bugatti.

Jealous?

GEOFF VISITS

Geoff came out for a week.

We both knew him at Northwood,

and this was his 2nd visit.

Had several meals out over the week.

Pleneuf val Andre, St Cast, & Dinan,

were all visited. 

Some really low tides this week

as at at Quatre Vaux.

SUMMER ARRIVES

The weather has been fantastic the past week.

Temperatures in the high 70's.

Even walking the dogs at 8am most mornings,

it's hot and sticky outside,

Crossing the wheat fields and in to the corn field.

SICK CHICK

Poor old Burka the chicken me quite ill, 

with a case of "flystrike."

An open wound had maggots it it.

Not nice at all, she couldn't walk,

and just sat there with no 

appetite or will to live.

Thanks to a good clean up and some

antiseptic spray, she is back on the 

up and almost normal again.

BACK HOME AGAIN

Back to the UK for a long weekend.

Flight from Dinard to East Midlands to 

stay with Chrissy and Eamonn for a 

couple of days in Leicester.

A few beers and a trip to a very decent

curry house just outside town.

Saturday was up to the Holiday Inn Barnsley to meet

up with others and head out to Spike and Rachel's

25th wedding anniversary in Oxbridge.

Great night with good food, plenty of ale,

and a bit of dancing.

Sunday was back to the Mayston's in Penistone,

for a BBQ and of course more partying.

And finally another night in Leicester, where guess what?

Another curry.
