We had the French neighbours up for dinner on Saturday evening, and wanted to give them somethin gvery English for dessert.
So here it is, although the photo is crap..
Golden Syrup sponge served with custard.
We have not had that in 20 odd years.
The French loved it!

Just like to add it was made by Me (Marie) and not the chef who was laid up with dodgy knees
