BRILLIANT CAKE

The owners of the village bar, Bruno & Marylene asked
Marie if she would do their granddaughter's
christening cake.
A bloody good effort I think you would agree.

WRENS

Don't recall seeing wrens  (bird type not Naval type)
in the UK.
But they are abundant here in Brittany.
A nest in the pump room has appeared,
and the two chicks are thriving.
Noisy as hell, but most WRENS I served with were!!!

GREEK LAMB

So, after the last post of the "Shep" gnawed lamb leg, I cut all the outer meat off, and used the centre of the leg to make
Lamb Souvlaki, with Greekk Salad, Tzatziki, and Pitta.
Very nice too.
Meat was very tender.
Not sure as if was due to the two day marinade,
or the fact Shep had tenderised it in his gob!

CHANCER!

Dateline:
Sunday 17th May.
1700hrs
St Potan

After mustering the contents of the freezer, I have accidentally left out a leg of lamb on the table in the garage.

20 minutes later on arrival back in the garage, we have a crime scene.

Teeth marks are found in the forgotten piece of lamb, and a suspect is seen leaving the vicinity licking his lips.

Call CRIMESTOPPERS on 07793 999 999
if you recognise this dog caught on camera.

CHEFS REUNION 2015

Just got from the Royal Navy Chefs reunion
in Birmingham, which is held at the
Nautical Club.

Around 220 turned up on the Friday night, with
around 150 on the Saturday, where £1400 was
raised for Naval charities.
Same again next year.

TOUR DE ST POTAN

There was a cycling race today in the 9 departments of Matignon.
A 90km road race started and finished in St Potan

2000 turned up to watch proceedings, probably because of the street bars that were set up.

The winner was me on my "chopper bike"

BEEN A TENSE WEEK

Something I never thought I would
see in my lifetime.
Just brilliant.
