MORE WORK THIS WEEK.

Working in the hamlet of Saint Eugeine this week. Firstly to put in a double glazes window (great fun when the walls are rotten) and also putting up plasterboard to create 2 bedrooms.

Unfortunatly the customer is a "taskmaster" and is constantly asking if we can do quick unrelated tasks like a bit of re-pointing, fill in some holes in the road and much more.
Mad as a box of frogs!
She even offered to pay the first part of the job with vegetables and cakes!

SO YOU GO FOR A NIGHT OUT....

Last Sunday we went out to John Robert's birthday drinks at the local. The weather having been cold meant that we had the open wood fire burning the night before.
As usual the fire ash remains were swept up and put into a container as normal.
Unfortunatly we forgot to throw the ash awy before going out.
When we came back...well..here is the scene below.

And in the kitchen too.

Right then Inspector Morse. The culprits left their prints all over the place.

Well done Kip and Bella!

FINISHED THE JOB

Remember the renovation that I started with Andy last November.
Well, it's finished.
Walls taped and plastered, painted. Beams painted. Skirting boards replaced. Stairs put in and varnished. Bedroom wooden floors varnished. House cleaned from top to bottom.
BOSH! Loads a dosh!

OUR TINY BIT OF SNOW

This was it. Whilst most in the UK have been under feet of snow, here in tropical northern France, we have just had one day's light dusting.
Having said that it has been so cold for a month now, that cold that we used a 500 litre oil delivery in 6 weeks!

FOOTBALL WEEKEND

What with the sorry demise of AFC Bournemouth, thanks to a line of dodgy chairmen/scouse mafia/rose tinted supporters/ etc, I felt it was time to take in a decent match.
Rennes V Toulouse
I went with John to Rennes for the overnight stay as the match kicked off at 9pm.
Firstly we had a couscous meal in town and then off to the game.

The build up outside the Stade Rennes

The teams line up..And that was about the only excitement.
0-0. And both sides were lucky to get nil!

A bit more like what I am used too.
St Potan 1 Erquy 4 on Sunday.
Allez les jaunes!
