THE MILLARDS HAVE LANDED

Friends Bob and Lesley have been out for 6 days.
MY GOD! There is now a shortage of wine in France which could take years to replenish.

Several meals out.
Twice at the fabulous Auberge Du Manoir in our village, and also at the Port of St Cast for a big steak whilst people watching.

Best night was Monday in the village with a good old feast of Lobster, John Dory, Duck, and dessert.

All washed down with wine.....

And a brandy or two to finish.

25th ANNIVERSARY OF HILLSBOROUGH

Nothing to do with our life in France, but I remember where I was when this happened.

25 years, where has it gone!
You'll never walk alone.

HONEY HONEY!

Time to raid the beehive for our first lot of St Potan honey.

With help from Alan and Jane, who are more experienced in these things, the hive was checked out, and another chamber added for the worker bees.

The hive is healthy and well stacked with bees, and although it took a while we found the Queen which had been marked with a pink dot last Autumn.

Just one chamber was raided and that produced some delicious honey.
Not to much of a floral flavour, which is what we prefer.

BAR INVITE

Fantastic to get an invitation up to the village bar last Sunday evening with Bruno & Marylene hosting.
The bar has been shut for holiday, but we were invited with others for a great evening of food and drink.

GOT OUR BIG TABLE

At last we have our big dining table. Has been a bit frustrating with the previous one because we could only get 8 around it.
When this one pulls out, a comfortable 12 can get round.
Can feel a big party coming on!

LUNCH IN THEGARDEN

A glorious Sunday afternoon gave the chance for the first outside
meal of the year.
After a couple of large Pina Colada's, a nice Chorizo and Scallop salad.
