Friday night was the annual dinner of the local hunt, or chasse as it is known here.
We are in no way fans of hunting, but it is regulated over here so that only one wild boar and one deer can be killed in a season.
Having heard the menu beforehand Marie decided to wimp out as nothing appealed to her.
Still, Al bravely soldiered on and attended.
130 attended, to be fair only about a dozen or so are hunters.
Bruno lost the toss to sit next to Sophie!
Menu of Game Soup, Wild Boar Pate, Roast Boar and Venison, followed by Creme Brulee, all wine included, just 15 euros!
