TOURIST DAY

My good Navy Chief Stoker friend Gary Crabtree is here with his other half Kaz.
I should say they are now together as Kaz came out 4 days before Gary because of his non arrival of the new passport.

Before Gary got here we had a day doing the tourist bit of the marvelous Brittany coastline.

Have been to Cap fFehel lighthouse many times, but it was never open, so it was great to go to the top and take some pictures this time.

Only 135 steps to the top of the lighthouse, but the views are stunning.

It is the tallest lighthouse in Brittany.

Then after a light lunch in Sable D'Or we went to Fort La Latte

We have seen the fort many times from the sea when out fishing and it looks very impressive.

It was an excellent visit, and having read all the information about the fort, it turns out that the French fired a shot in anger some 275 years ago.

Still, a cracking place to visit for a couple of hours.
if you are in the area..GO!
About 5 euros entry fee and well worth it.
