Today we went up to the village war memorial to commemorate VE day. Something that is not done in Britain for some reason.
It was the first local civic event for new mayor Arnaud and he did a good speech kindly mentioning Britain's role in the 2nd world war.
Afterwards, the usual vin d'honneur in the village hall.
